I’m member of the Norwegian Anthropological Association, but not not of the American one (AAA), I thought an institutional subscription would be sufficient. I’ll have to check if I’ll find a paper-copy in the university library (recently, they’ve cancelled lots of paper-journals, though).
Maybe better collaboration and networking (incl providing mutual access to publications) between members in the national organisations would be an idea?
absolutely! The ultimate aim of AnthroSource is to become a complete Anthropology resource so this type of collaboration is something for us to bear in mind as the site develops. And input from users is always invaluable – so your comments are very worthwhile.
I would really appreciate more knowledge sharing among anthropology organisations. Even at the University library in Oslo where I’m sitting right now, there’s no access to the online version of Anthropology News, and there’s no paper version available either (they seem to have cancelled the subscription in 1999)
I think all of the commenters completely missed the point. Read this post ethnographically for a second, not professionally.
