All articles and book reviews from 2002 to 2005 of the journal Anthropologica - the official publication of the Canadian Anthropology Society are freely accessible for everybody. Looks more interesting than many other journals, so I might blog about some of the texts later. >> have a look!
It’s an excellent idea. It’s such a pity that other major publications are not free accessible to the public. As a young student who just finished this year the graduation on anthropology, it’s a great way to be updated with the articles and with the anthropology production.
One thing that is a little bit sad, is that the vast majority of anthropology journals, prefer to publish the articles on giant databases as JSTOR, MUSE or others. These databases are not accessible to all the people. We can find it on university campus or in libraries, but they do not exist in all university campus or libraries. These databases should be free or an individual should pay a small price for having them for life. Science should be free and for all. Anthropology doesn’t gains anything closing doors. All scientific publications should be opened to the public.
